From 6 to 21 March 2027, the international elite of snowboarding, freestyle and freeskiing will gather in the Montafon. The FIS World Championships will bring world-class athletes, thousands of fans and thrilling competitions to one of the most sport-oriented winter sports regions in the Alps.
Look forward to spectacular tricks, breathtaking jumps, thrilling head-to-head duels and a special atmosphere that takes hold of the entire valley. The World Championships combine top-class sport with genuine Montafon hospitality – and will make your winter holiday an unforgettable experience.
An entire valley gripped by World Cup fever
The World Championships are organised jointly by the Austrian Ski Federation, the Montafon Ski Club, the Montafon municipalities, Montafon Tourism and the mountain railways.
Together, they are creating an event that inspires people far beyond the world of sport and brings the passion for winter sports to life throughout the valley.
Under Snowboard, you’ll find the following disciplines:
Halfpipe, Slopestyle, Big Air, Snowboard Cross (SBX), Mixed Team Snowboard Cross, Parallel Giant Slalom (PGS), Mixed Team Parallel Giant Slalom and Parallel Slalom (PSL)
Under Freestyle and Freeski, you’ll find the following disciplines:
Halfpipe, Slopestyle, Big Air, Aerials, Aerials Mixed Team, Skicross, Skicross Mixed Team, Moguls and Dual Moguls
The world’s elite visit Silvretta Montafon
The World Championships in Silvretta Montafon showcase world-class ski cross and slopestyle: at the Grasjoch, you can watch ski cross, snowboard cross and team snowboard cross, whilst at the Nova, the best freestyle athletes will compete in ski slopestyle and snowboard slopestyle.
