Did you know that the Silvretta Montafon region is one of the top-ten biggest winter sports destinations in Austria? The hiking and ski resort is located in the south of Vorarlberg. It spans a length of 17 kilometres and a difference in altitude of 1,700 metres. South of the federal state’s capital Bludenz, it runs from Schruns via Silbertal and St. Gallenkirchen all the way to Gaschurn-Partenen – surrounded by the Rätikon, Silvretta and Verwall mountain ranges.

There’s not only plenty of variety when it comes to hiking through Vorarlberg’s nature. The Hochjoch side of Silvretta Montafon is a great region for biking and climbing fans. The latter can test their skills at the Hochjoch via ferrata every Friday. The Hochjoch is also a popular flight area for paragliders.
If you prefer something a little slower-paced, you may want to experience the Montafon’s way of life during the “Alpgenuss” in the Nova area.
Other adventure-packed activities include stand-up paddling, raft building or alpine camping.
